The Talented Tenth

How many of you are familiar with W E B Dubois "Talented Tenth" theory? In a nutshell he states that there is within every culture 1/10 of those that excel and it is their job to lift the lessor. Might I add of course, if those of the tenth become "sell-outs" they lift know one but themselves and forget the lessor. Think about it. Think about the responsibility!!!
